Series Hot Fill - BOB II

BCI HOT FILL is a light-pressure filler, suitable for all non-carbonated sport drinks and fruit juices requiring the hot fill treatment (up to 195°F), for glass or PET bottles. The fully mechanical filling valves are servo-controlled by an electronic device-net. This allows for the greatest flexibility of the system. It can handle an unlimited number of products and bottle sizes, and can run at different speeds, which makes the filling parameters consistent.

The Hot Fill has a neck rim around the filler that supports the PET bottles on the neck flange during filling and allows for the handling of lightweight Hot Fill PET bottles.

We have also incorporated our newest design in filling valve technology, “BOB II”, on our Hot Fill machines. This new valve maintains a product recycle level lower than 5-8% at all speeds. The filling temperature remains consistent at the set point in all-working conditions. We have eliminated any possible product spillage during transferring from filler carousel to capping turret with the large neck finish bottle. The filler is equipped with tool-less bottle handling making the changeover quick and simple.
This filler can be configured as a Monoblock (filler-capper) or a Triblock (Rinser-Filler-Capper). A user friendly, Allen-Bradley operator touch screen has a programmable change over sequence in memory according to bottle specifications.

Main Advantages & Features:

Filling weight accuracy is maintained with a small, standard deviation, at all speeds with different products and bottle sizes.

Filling temperature accuracy is kept through a pair of upstream and downstream temperature probes, which allow the control system to maintain a consistent filling temperature throughout the Monoblock, even when the working conditions are modified.

The PET neck handling applied to the filling carousel allows for the handling of lightweight PET bottles.

The filler CIP sanitation can be easily engaged from the operator’s touch screen in real time, upon insertion of CIP cups.

A quick product flavor changeover can be easily integrated with thermal process and product supply.

Two-speed filling allows the valves to perform the “bulk” and “dribble” filling speed modes for difficult products.

High-Speeds are comfortably achieved by controlling the product pouring velocity in the bottles to minimized foaming issues, which then allows the filler-capper transfer star wheel to perform without any spillage.

A Separate return-air system allows the air from inside the bottles to be vented into a separate ring bowl during filling, avoiding any possible contamination to the rest of the filler.
